What You Can Do to Help

Our situation with Ian has caused many people to come to us asking how they can help. So far we've only been able to ask for their prayers and emotional support. I think I've found something else.

Ian is loved. He is cared for. Even though we will only have him for a very short time, he will experience more love in that time than some children ever get to know. That breaks my heart for so many reasons.

I have a friend who is trying to do something about it, and her willingness to obey Scripture, trust in God's provision, and defy unfair labels has challenged me as well. At this very moment, my best is to share with you what she's doing, in hopes that it might spur some of you on to do likewise or to help her reach her goal of claiming one of those unloved children as her own so that she and her family might love that child the way her own already are or the way that we love little Ian.

If, as you've been following my posts on Ian, you've found yourself wondering what you can do to help, I ask that you take the time to visit my friend's blog and consider carefully how you might contribute:

I Carry Your Heart: Too many....: My heart is bleeding right now. There are so many new children listed on Reece's Rainbow over the last few days. I want to cry. It just does...

Everytime I'm on Reece's Rainbow I look at this little girl, and I think of you.

and I just think...Jen should see her...because here is a child who could use prayers that a family equipped to care for her would come along! Maybe you could be her prayer warrior. (they have those on this site, you can sign up it's nifty)

Check out how much money is already raised for her adoption. (and no one has stepped forward yet!)
